Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you how I stay organized and save money in my kitchen! I can't say that I have always been organized... actually I'm still working on being an organized person! It's a working progress! My passion is cooking... my love is in the kitchen and this is where I focus a lot of my time.. so it makes sense that I would start organizing my life there! When I became a stay at home mom, I really needed to sit down and focus on how I can save my family money. The one thing that everyone has control over is their food budget! It's normally the first place that everyone seems to cut back on when finances are stretched thin. You don't need to coupon for hours upon end to save money and be frugal! So you may be wondering what I do that helps me save money on my groceries. I keep a freezer and a pantry inventory! Do you do that? If not, you seriously need to consider it! It's that time of the year again, the kiddos are off to school. Mother's every where are jumping for joy. As much as we love that our children are going back to school because we will get a little peace in our home.. it still doesn't alleviate the stresses of packing their daily lunches! My daughter doesn't like to eat the lunches that the school provides and prefers that I pack her lunch. I'm ok with that. I like knowing exactly what she is eating during the day..or what she has chosen not to eat. I don't like to get up the morning of school and making her lunches or spending my evening the night before prepping her lunches. Let's face it, around 8:00pm  the house starts to unwind and so do I. I like to prep my daughter's lunches for a whole month on a Sunday! I decided the other weekend to prep. In 20 minutes, I was able to make 12 peanut butter & jelly sandwiches.
